Success for The Edge at NYF TV & Films Awards 2023!

Vulnerable People, produced for Network Rail, received one of the Festivals’ prestigious Grand Awards in Corporate Image! There are only three Grand Awards given out across the entire ceremony – the other two in Documentary and Entertainment, the latter of which was won by Banijay Rights for Peaky Blinders – so we’re in extremely good company! The film also won a Gold Award for Attitudinal Training. We’re very honoured to receive such accolades, especially for such an important film.

Produced to help Network Rail staff be better prepared to respond to trespassers on the UK’s rail network (who can be some of the most vulnerable people in our society), the film is helping to challenge and change attitudes for the better.

We’re also delighted to have picked up 3 Silver awards: Teenagers (Attitudinal Training) and Opening Up (Corporate Social Responsibility) for Network Rail, and WISH (Event Venue) for Qatar Foundation, which was narrated by none other than Morgan Freeman! To wrap it up, we also picked up a Bronze for PLINAZOLIN® technology (produced for Syngenta), and 2 finalist certificates for WISH and Labversity (produced for Barclays).

And finally, our parent company, Zinc Media, was named Production Company of the Year for the first time! As the newest member of the group, we’re thrilled to now be able to help our new Zinc family add this achievement to their roll of honour.

The New York Festivals TV & Film Awards is one of the most prominent competitions in our industry, where we face stiff competition every year from some of the biggest names in the business. It’s always a great honour to walk away with any accolades at NYF, but this year’s results are very special for us as it marks our first NYF successes since we joined the Zinc Media family – and long may it continue.

But that’s not all, as we also recently won our first ever trophy at the Learning Excellence Awards!

The LEAs recognise best-in-class in the Business Training/Learning & Development sector, and our eLearn for Network Rail, Disability Matters, was voted winner in Design, Content Creation & Video. It’s a course we’re incredibly proud of that’s delivering positive change across the UK’s rail network, and we’re delighted to see it receive another accolade.
