We’re recruiting an Account Manager

The Edge is an award-winning corporate film agency, looking for a B2B Account Manager to join our busy Sales team. The Edge is at the forefront of an exciting, creative, fast-paced industry, working with clients from many business sectors. This position offers the right candidate a target-driven sales role, opening new accounts and developing clients.



  • Professional B2B sales background, preferably in professional services or creative services industry
  • Proven skills in self-sourced lead generation, relationship building & opening new accounts
  • Ability to grasp complex client business strategies & identify areas The Edge could support a client’s business
  • A good understanding of business trends & practices
  • Interest in current affairs & an ability to predict future market trends
  • A confident communicator, comfortable with all client levels, from mid-management to C suite
  • Strong persuasive skills & proven ability to convert new business
  • A self-starter with the ability to use own initiative & work autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills & telephone manner
  • Strong diary management & organisational skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritising skills
  • Ability to cope under pressure & produce consistent results against target
  • Driven individual with a commitment to meeting or exceeding target
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
  • An interest in film and visual communications



  • Reporting to the Sales Management Team.
  • Tele-marketing to arrange meetings with potential clients to prospect for new business
  • Booking face-to-face introduction appointments, initially for our Executive Producers to lead, with a view to attending jointly then leading as your knowledge of the business builds.
  • Relationship building from initial contact
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with new and existing clients
  • Gaining a clear understanding of clients’ businesses and requirements
  • Presenting The Edge favourably and in a structured professional manner
  • Challenging any objections with a view to getting the client to engage
  • Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries
  • Growing key accounts
  • Busy diary management – scheduling & chasing of meetings, client liaison
  • Liaising with Creative Development team & Executive Producers
  • Feeding future buying trends back to The Edge
  • Attending team meetings and sharing best practice with colleagues



  • Permanent position (after 6 months probationary period)

  • Two years’ experience of B2B Solution selling of a consultancy product, preferably within the creative industry
  • Professional sales skills training – demonstrated by courses attended
  • Successful attainment of a formal target for sales achievement
